Repository Policy

Purpose and Scope

Scholarly Summit supports the responsible dissemination and long-term accessibility of scholarly research. Authors publishing in Scholarly Summit journals may deposit their work in institutional repositories, subject-specific repositories, and other appropriate scholarly archives, subject to the terms outlined below.

Author Manuscript Deposit

Authors may deposit the accepted manuscript—the version incorporating revisions accepted for publication after peer review—in an institutional or disciplinary repository.

The accepted manuscript should be distinguished from the Version of Record, which is the final article published by Scholarly Summit. The Version of Record may be deposited or shared in accordance with the applicable article license and copyright terms.

Citation and Attribution

When depositing an accepted manuscript or a permitted version of the published article, authors should provide complete bibliographic information, including:

Authors should make the relationship between the deposited manuscript and the published article clear to support accurate citation and attribution.

Copyright and Licensing

Repository deposits must comply with the copyright arrangements and licensing terms applicable to the article. Authors should consult their publication agreement and the license displayed on the published article before depositing or distributing the Version of Record.

Where an article is published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0), reuse and redistribution are governed by the terms of that specific license. Any third-party material included in an article remains subject to its applicable rights and permissions.

Embargoes and Access

Repository deposit conditions, including any applicable embargo, must follow the journal's stated policy and the rights applicable to the deposited version. Authors should not assume that the accepted manuscript and the Version of Record have identical sharing permissions.

Scholarly Summit's open-access policy and the license stated on each published article govern access to and reuse of the Version of Record.

Long-Term Accessibility

Scholarly Summit encourages authors to use established institutional and disciplinary repositories that support the preservation, discovery, and continued accessibility of scholarly work.

Repository deposit complements the journal's publication and preservation arrangements; it does not replace them.
